How to send a participant survey

Collecting feedback is one of the best ways to improve your future hackathons. Devpost for Teams includes a built-in survey feature.

How to set up the survey

  1. From your hackathon page, click the Metrics icon in the Admin bar.
  2. Go to the participant survey section. Here you can review and customize the survey questions to gather the specific feedback you need.
  3. Choose your sending option:
  • Send automatically (Default): The survey is sent to all participants shortly after you announce the winners. We recommend this option for the highest response rate.
  • Schedule for later: You can schedule the survey to be sent at a specific date and time.
  • Disable survey: You can turn this feature off if you do not want to send a survey.

Who receives the survey? The survey is sent via email to all registered participants, not just those who submitted a project. This allows you to gather feedback on the entire event experience.
