How to send announcements to participants

Need to send an important update, a reminder, or a motivational message? The Announcements feature lets you send emails and post visible updates on your hackathon’s homepage.

  1. From your hackathon page, click the megaphone icon in the Admin bar at the top.
  2. Click the Compose announcement button.
  3. Draft your message in the editor.
  4. Choose your Recipients from the dropdown menu:
  • Registrants: Everyone who has registered for the hackathon.
  • Submitters: Only participants who have submitted a project.
  • Winners: Only the winning teams (useful for post-hackathon communication).
  1. You can then choose to Send now or Schedule for later.

All published announcements are sent via email and are also displayed publicly on the hackathon’s homepage.
