Your Hackathon Center

After you have successfully registered for Devpost for Teams, you’ll be redirected to your organization’s hackathon center. You’ll be able to:

Adjust your Profile’s Settings

To adjust your Settings, click your avatar in the top right corner of the screen and select Settings

Within Member Settings you have three options: adjust your Profile, Account, and/or Notifications.

To add to or update your photo, Specialty, Skills, Location and About You section, select Member settings > Profile. Under the About You box, click the blue Save Changes button.

To change your password, select Member settings > Account. Click the blue Save Changes button to save your new password.

To enable or disable email notifications for Devpost user feedback, comments, and tips and best practices, select Member settings >  Notifications, where you can toggle on/off any of the three options.

To view your Profile, click your avatar in the top right corner and click My profile. Other members will be able to view your profile upon clicking your avatar or name.

View your organization’s Active hackathons

To view the hackathons that your organization has published, visit your organization’s Hackathon Center and scroll down to Active Hackathons — click the hackathon you’re interested in to check it out.

If you’re looking for past hackathons, go to the menu bar on the left-side of your screen and click Hackathons or type in the hackathon name in the Search bar.

Search for Projects, People, and Hackathons

You’re able to Search for Projects, People, and Hackathons within your organization’s Hackathon Center. There are a couple of ways to search: the search bar and within the Projects, People, and Hackathons pages.

Search Projects

Search for projects in all of the hackathons or filter through projects that are created by you and your team, projects open for team building, and winning projects.

Search People

Search for people or filter for people by specialty and/or hackathon participation.

Search Hackathons

Search for hackathons within your organization or filter hackathons created by you, type, and/or status.

Search Projects by Person

Discover what projects other people have previously or are currently working on. From the search bar, click on PROJECTS and type in the name or email address.

Create hackathons

Joining your organization’s Hackathon Center allows you to create hackathons; use any of the pre-populated hackathon templates or start from scratch to create a hackathon — learn more about creating and setting up a hackathon

Invite your coworkers to join your Hackathon Center

To invite your coworkers to join your Hackathon Center, click Invite Coworkers and select one of the three options: Invite via email, Copy invite link, and Copy Invitation.

Invite via email

Selecting Invite via email allows for your email client to be pre-populated with a templated email which includes a link your coworkers in your organization can use to access your Hackathon Center — your own email system would need to send the invitation email. This option can be used if you already have groups of employees within your contact list.

Copy invite link

To share a link that your coworkers can use to access your hackathon center, select the Copy invite link. This option would be ideal if you communicate with your coworkers primarily through a community chat (Slack, Teams, Discord, etc.).

Copy Invitation

Select Copy invitation to copy and paste a template you can use to invite your coworkers to your hackathon center. Use this option to help you get started on an email to draft or within other avenues of communication your organization uses.

Inviting a team member to a specific hackathon

To invite a coworker to a specific hackathon, go to the hackathon page and click Invite coworkers. Two options are available: Copy invite link or Invite via email. Selecting Copy invite link will allow you to copy and paste an invitation link, while Invite via email will allow you to send an email invitation through Devpost for Teams to coworkers within your organization. If your coworker has not signed up for Devpost for Teams, they will be prompted to create an account.
