How to find teammates

Hackathons are better with a team. Here’s how to find teammates for your project or join a team that needs your skills.

If you need teammates for your project

1. Go to your project page.

2. Find the TEAM BUILDING toggle and set it to OPEN. This lists your project on the "Projects open for team building" page.

   

3. You can also specify what kind of help you need. Click + TEAMMATE NEEDED to add a role you're looking for, including desired skills (like "Designer" with "Figma" skills).

If you want to join a project

1. From the main navigation bar on the left, click Projects.

2. Use the filter bar at the top and select Open for team building.

   

3. Browse the list of projects that are looking for new members. When you find one you like, click the Join project button on that page.

How to invite a specific person to your team

If you know who you want to work with, you can invite them directly to your project.

1. From the left-side menu, click People.
2. Search for your coworker by name.
3. Click the Invite icon next to their name and select the project you want them to join. They will receive a notification to accept or decline the invitation.
